Calla (Zantedeschia) lilies are extraordinary flowers, are native to Southern Africa, and are grown from rhizomes. They can be grown in beds, borders, in containers for cut flowers, and even indoors in a sunny window. Great for growing in a cutting garden and showing off indoors in your nicest vases. The purple in this Akela variety is a royal purple that also has faint streaks of cream. As it is a mini-dwarf hybrid, it does not grow as tall as some of the other Calla lilies. Making it an excellent choice for containers on a patio or deck. Plant this perennial in a location with partial sun.
